Greece announces October 2026 pension payment schedule

The Greek Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in coordination with e-EFKA, has announced the payment schedule for October 2026 pensions. A permanent policy change ensures that primary and supplementary pensions are now paid on the same date for each category of pensioner.

For non-salaried pensioners, including those from OAEE, OGA, and ETAA, as well as private sector supplementary pensions, payments will be made on Friday, September 25, 2026. Funds are expected to be available in bank accounts starting the afternoon of September 24.

Salaried pensioners, including those from IKA-ETAM, the Public Sector, and various specialized funds (such as those for the Armed Forces, Police, and Fire Service), will receive payments on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. These funds should be accessible from the afternoon of September 28.

Additionally, OPEKA will distribute pensions for uninsured elderly citizens on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Separately, between September 7 and 11, 2026, e-EFKA and DYPA will distribute approximately 38 million euros in various benefits, including unemployment and maternity allowances, to nearly 70,000 beneficiaries.
