Greece signs Common Decision for new CAP improvement plans
The Greek Minister of Rural Development and Food, Margarita Schoiná, and the head of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue, George Pitsilis, signed a Common Decision that sets the implementation framework for the new Improvement Plans of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan 2023‑2027. The decision covers three interventions: improvement plans for farm holdings to boost competitiveness, water‑saving investments, and circular‑economy and energy investments. It simplifies the regulatory framework by unifying rules for all three measures.
The programme is funded with €263.5 million of public spending, and the call for applications is expected to be issued shortly. Expenses become eligible from 1 June 2026, and pre‑application spending is allowed up to 80 % of the approved eligible costs. Eligible beneficiaries include natural persons, legal persons and collective entities that meet the stipulated conditions.
