Greece submits 2027 Draft Budgetary Plan to European Commission

Greece has submitted its 2027 Draft Budgetary Plan (DBP) to the European Commission, as announced by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance. The submission follows established deadlines and aligns with previous fiscal projections presented to the Greek Parliament.

The plan forecasts economic growth of 2% in 2026 and 2.3% in 2027. It also outlines a steady reduction in the debt-to-GDP ratio, moving from 146.1% in 2025 to 136.7% in 2026 and 128.8% in 2027.

Key social and economic objectives within the DBP include supporting citizen income, boosting entrepreneurship, and addressing the energy crisis. The government anticipates that these fiscal interventions will result in an average increase in disposable income of 701 euros (4.6%) by 2027, a 0.3% reduction in the average tax burden, and a 2.2% decrease in the absolute poverty rate.
