Greece SUV market reaches 66% of new car sales

In Greece, SUVs accounted for 66.06% of new passenger car registrations between January and August 2026, totaling 67,622 units. The market is dominated by three primary models: the Toyota Yaris Cross, Peugeot 2008, and Suzuki Vitara.

The Toyota Yaris Cross leads the segment with 5,596 registrations, representing an 8.28% share of the total SUV market. Its success is attributed to its fully hybrid system and automatic transmission, with starting prices at approximately €24,470 for the Active Hybrid 116 e-CVT model.

The Peugeot 2008 follows in second place, while the Suzuki Vitara remains a popular choice due to its accessible entry price and available four-wheel-drive versions.
