Greece: Tax and financial deadlines set for August 31

Citizens and businesses in Greece face several tax and financial deadlines by August 31. For individuals, key obligations include the payment of the second installment of income tax and the sixth installment of ENFIA (Unified Property Tax). Additionally, installments for active debt settlements with the state must be paid by this date.

Businesses are required to settle July VAT, social security contributions, and withheld taxes, depending on their specific tax and insurance status. Other requirements include the remittance of the Digital Transaction Fee and the registration of employee permits in the ERGANI II system.

Regarding real estate, property owners must complete necessary actions for lease declarations. Deadlines also apply to housing programs: the ‘Renovate – Rent’ program requires the issuance of eligibility certificates via its electronic platform (with extensions applying only to closed properties), and the ‘My Home II’ program concludes the deadline for contracting specific approved housing loans funded by the Hellenic Development Bank.
