Greece to add 200 staff members to Social Welfare Centers
The Greek Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family is introducing 200 new full-time positions to strengthen Social Welfare Centers. This initiative, led by Minister Domna Michailidou, aims to address staffing shortages in facilities that provide daily care and support to vulnerable citizens.
The employment program is designed for registered unemployed individuals through the Public Employment Service (DYPA). The positions will be located in regional Social Welfare Centers under the National Social Care System. The contracts are set for a duration of 12 months and include social security coverage.
Monthly gross salaries vary based on educational qualifications: up to 1,250 euros for University Education (PE), 1,200 euros for Technological Education (TE), 1,170 euros for Secondary Education (DE), and 1,090 euros for Compulsory Education (YE). Minister Michailidou acknowledged the cooperation of Minister of Labor Niki Kerameus and General Secretary Nikos Milapidis in securing these roles.
