The 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) has opened with Japan as the guest of honor. The event features over 1,000 exhibitors and 25 participating countries, showcasing sectors such as automotive, health, energy, and digital transformation. Cultural events, including Taiko drumming and calligraphy, accompany the exhibition.

During the fair, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to announce a multi-year economic package aimed at supporting the middle class, retirees, farmers, and small businesses. This plan is designed as a four-year roadmap extending toward 2030-2031. Key discussions include potential wage increases and support against the cost of living.

Economic officials also highlighted digital reforms and debt management. Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis announced the upcoming launch of ‘Synepeia,’ a platform designed to provide full transparency regarding public sector invoices and debts by the end of 2026. Additionally, Deputy Minister Nikos Papathanasis noted that 49.5 billion euros have been secured for the new NSRF starting in 2028.

In the sports sector, the Prime Minister addressed stadium developments, proposing a mixed funding model for PAOK's stadium and discussing potential relocation plans for Aris FC.
