Greece to auction end-of-life vintage vehicles for dismantling

Greece’s Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) is holding a public auction for a collection of aging vehicles designated as end-of-life or for dismantling. The auction, scheduled for September 24 in Ano Liosia, northwest of Athens, features a variety of models including a 1969 Volkswagen-Porsche 914, a 1970 Audi, and a 1972 Lancia Fulvia.

Unlike traditional classic car auctions, these vehicles are not intended for restoration. Bidding is restricted to entities licensed under Greece’s authorized vehicle-recycling system. Successful bidders must meet specific environmental and professional requirements and formally declare that the vehicles will be dismantled rather than returned to the road.
