Greece to complete 150 euro child allowance payments by late August

The supplementary payment of the 150 euro emergency child allowance is expected to be completed by the end of August. This round of credits targets families not included in the initial payment, as well as households that added new members recently.

For children born in 2025, the payment is automatic provided they are listed as dependents on the 2025 tax return, have a correctly registered AMKA, and a valid IBAN on file with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).

A different procedure applies to children born between January 1 and July 31, 2026. For these cases, an application for the issuance of the child's Tax Identification Number (AFM) must have been submitted by August 10. Parents are advised to verify that the child's AMKA and IBAN details are accurate to avoid payment delays.
