Greece announces August 2026 pension payment dates
The Social Insurance Institute (e‑EFKA) will disburse €2.492 777 459,09 to 4 333 061 pensioners and benefit recipients between 27 July and 31 July 2026. Payments are split by employment status: non‑salaried recipients receive their main and supplementary pensions on Tuesday 28 July, while salaried recipients are paid on Thursday 30 July. The first tranche includes the OAEE, OOGA and ETAA funds and all private‑sector supplements, totaling €1.322 356 333,15; the second tranche covers the IKA‑ETAM, public sector and other salaried funds, amounting to €1.113 621 125,94. Additional earmarked sums – €2.8 million for advance pension installments, €14,5 million for one‑off decisions and €1,8 million for refunded contributions – are also scheduled for the same dates. The Public Employment Service (DYPA) will pay unemployment benefits and other allowances, totaling €16 million to 26 000 claimants, plus further allocations for maternity leave, employment programmes and organisational contributions. All funds are expected to be available at ATMs from the afternoon of the preceding working day. The OPEKA scheme will complete its cycle on Friday 31 July 2026, paying benefits to uninsured elderly recipients.
