Greece to enjoy mostly sunny summer weather with isolated thunderstorms

From Sunday, weather clears across most of Greece, bringing sunny skies and daytime highs of 30 °C to 33 °C. Light breezes will prevail, but the eastern and north‑eastern Aegean may experience winds of force 6‑7 on the Beaufort scale. Isolated showers and brief thunderstorms are possible in mountainous areas of the southern Peloponnese and on several islands.

The weekly outlook notes a potential return of instability from Wednesday, when scattered thunderstorms and heavier rain could affect the eastern mainland, Evia, the northern Aegean and Crete. Temperatures will remain near seasonal norms, with some interior locations reaching up to 34 °C.
