Greece to host major educational reform dialogue in Athens
The Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports will host a major event titled ‘From Today’s Student to Tomorrow’s Citizen’ on September 2, 2026, at the Athens Concert Hall. This event marks the next phase of the National Dialogue regarding the New Lyceum and the National Graduation Certificate.
The discussion aims to address the future of schooling in a rapidly changing environment, focusing on topics such as Artificial Intelligence in education, essential student skills, and modern school infrastructure. The dialogue intends to include students, teachers, academics, and international educational experts to ensure reforms are based on scientific evidence and practical classroom experience.
A central component of the event will be the participation of the President and members of the National Dialogue Committee. The Ministry emphasized that the dialogue is being conducted without predetermined decisions, seeking to synthesize diverse perspectives to shape the educational landscape of the coming decade.
