Greece to issue pensioner bonuses and rent refunds in November

The Greek government has announced several upcoming financial disbursements scheduled for November. Approximately 2.2 million pensioners are expected to receive an annual bonus of 400 euros. This year, the scope of beneficiaries has expanded due to the removal of income and asset criteria, alongside modifications to age limits. Eligible recipients include those turning 65 in 2025, survivors' pensioners aged 61 to 65, disability pensioners, and certain elderly citizens receiving assistance from OPEKA.

Additionally, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis stated that over one million renters will receive a rent refund in November. The government also confirmed that a double rent refund for teachers, doctors, and nurses covered by special regulations for the 2025 tax year is scheduled for payment on November 30. These payments are intended to be processed automatically into the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
