Greece to issue supplementary 150 euro child allowance by August end

Supplementary payments of an emergency child allowance, amounting to 150 euros per child, are expected to be completed by the end of August in Greece. This disbursement is intended for eligible families who were not included in the initial payment cycle, primarily due to data synchronization delays or new family members being added after the first processing period.

Families can receive a total of 150, 300, or 450 euros depending on the number of eligible children. The allowance applies to children born between January 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026. For children born in 2025, they must be listed as dependents on the relevant 2025 tax declaration, and the child's AMKA (social security number) must be correctly registered.

No new application is required for this payment, as it is processed automatically for those who meet the criteria and have a valid IBAN registered with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). For children born through 2026, parents were required to have submitted a request for a tax identification number (AFM) by August 10 to be included in these payments.
