Greece to launch €3.7 million Unified Real Estate Node
The Greek Ministry of Digital Governance is developing the Unified Real Estate Node (EKA), a €3.72 million digital infrastructure project designed to centralize property-related information. This tool serves as a complement to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) Property Ownership and Management Registry (MIDA).
The platform aims to consolidate data currently scattered across various public and private registries, including the Land Registry, urban planning departments, municipalities, and energy providers. Key information to be integrated includes tax records, building permits, property boundaries, rental agreements, energy certificates, and utility connections such as electricity and water.
By providing a single digital point of access, the project intends to increase market transparency, reduce bureaucracy, and facilitate smoother real estate transactions. Property owners will be able to view their data digitally, while public services can exchange information without requiring citizens to manually provide physical documents. The project, which includes funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), has faced delays due to technical issues and data inconsistencies, with a deadline for implementation proposals set for November 30, 2026.
