Greece to launch myKataggelies digital consumer platform in October

The Independent Authority for Consumer Protection and Market Control in Greece is launching a new digital platform called ‘myKataggelies’ in October. This tool will allow citizens to submit and track consumer complaints directly from their mobile devices, providing a traceable path for each case to ensure faster interventions and resolutions.

In September, the Authority will enhance its oversight capabilities by gaining greater access to online data for real-time field cross-referencing. Furthermore, a new phase of the ‘PosoKanei’ application is scheduled for November, which will feature expanded product coverage, faster updates, and additional consumer tools.

Despoina Tsagari, President of the Authority, stated that the goal is to move toward a model of proactive market supervision rather than simply increasing the number of inspections. By analyzing complaint patterns, the Authority aims to identify and prevent repetitive business misconduct. The Authority also plans to utilize digital tools and artificial intelligence to conduct more targeted, risk-based inspections.
