Greece traffic updates: Kallithea marathon and highway roadworks

Various traffic regulations and disruptions are scheduled across different regions in Greece.

In Kallithea, significant traffic adjustments will occur on Sunday, September 13, 2026, due to the 7th Kallithea Half Marathon. Between 08:00 and 13:30, several roads will face full vehicle closures, including sections of Sokratous, Irakleous, Dimosthenous, Doiranis, Euripidou, and Lysikratous. Additionally, parking and stopping will be prohibited on certain streets from 06:00 to 13:30.

On the Athens-Lamia National Road, roadworks near Metamorfosi will cause disruptions from September 14 to October 26, 2026. During this period, the right lane will be closed in phases on the Athens-bound side. Specific restrictions apply during weekdays (07:00 to 20:00) and Saturdays (07:00 to 17:00). Furthermore, the Afidnes toll station will experience lane closures in the direction of Lamia during these same hours.
