Greece U16 women's basketball wins gold and promotion

The Greek Women's U16 National Basketball Team secured the gold medal and promotion to Division A of the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket Division B after defeating Iceland 75-72. Coach Katerina Andreopoulou and guard Stella Manavi discussed the achievement, noting the team's determination and the significance of winning on home soil in Ioannina.

In a separate tournament, the Cyprus Women's U16 National Basketball Team finished in seventh place at the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket 2026, Division B. Cyprus concluded their campaign with a 70-58 loss to Azerbaijan in the classification match for fifth through seventh place. Ariadni Michail and Danae Kouzapa led the Cypriot scoring with 10 points each.
