Greece U18 Women's Water Polo team wins Group A at World Championship

The Greece U18 Women's National Water Polo team secured first place in Group A at the World Championship held in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, Spain. The team achieved this after a 14-10 victory against Hungary on Tuesday.

Despite Hungary scoring the first goal of the match, Greece responded with a 4-0 run within four minutes. The Greek team maintained defensive strength and capitalized on offensive opportunities, leading 14-6 at the start of the fourth quarter. Aphrodite Bitsako was named the match MVP.

With three wins in three matches, the team has earned 9 points. Greece will advance to the quarter-finals on Friday, August 21, to face the winner of the cross-over match between Israel and Australia.
