Greece vehicle registrations increase in September

According to data from ELSTAT, vehicle registrations in Greece saw a moderate increase in September. Total first registrations for cars, including both new vehicles and used imports, reached 21,902 units, representing a 1.2% increase compared to September of the previous year.

New car registrations specifically rose by 4.2%, totaling 13,975 units. For the first nine months of the year, total car registrations reached 206,183, a 3.1% increase over the same period in 2025. Within this nine-month period, new car registrations accounted for 124,490 units, up 2.7%.

The motorcycle market, specifically for models above 50cc, experienced more significant growth. September registrations for these motorcycles rose by 6.8% to 7,660 units. New motorcycle registrations saw an 8% increase, reaching 7,460 units. Over the first nine months of the year, total registrations for motorcycles above 50cc reached 71,072, a 3.5% increase compared to the previous year.
