Greece wins bronze in men's Balkan Championship volleyball

The Greek men's national volleyball team secured the bronze medal at the Balkan Championship held in Sarajevo. After an undefeated run in the group stage and a 3-0 victory against North Macedonia, the men's team lost 3-1 to Serbia in the semifinals. They ultimately won the bronze medal match against Romania with a score of 3-2.

Key contributors to the men's victory included Giorgos Konstantinoupolos, Gerasimos Chatzilygeroudis, and Alexandros Madhesis, under the coaching of Christos Lamis.

The Greek women's national team finished in fourth place. Following a 3-1 win against Turkey in the quarterfinals and a 3-0 loss to Serbia in the semifinals, they narrowly lost the third-place match to Bulgaria with a score of 3-2. The women's team was coached by Konstantinos Kostopoulos and featured Ioanna Gerasimatou, Malamatenia Papadimitriou, and Dimitra-Thomaida Tsekoora.
