Greece wins second gold at Balkan Show Jumping Championship

Greece has secured its second gold medal at the Balkan Show Jumping Championship held at the Ippos Club in Thessaloniki. The first gold was earned in the Amazon team competition, featuring Katerina Doumbotelle, Demi Igglesi, Marianna Marinopoulou, and Argyro Papageorgiou.

The second gold medal was achieved in the Children’s Team Competition. The Greek team, consisting of Myrto Spentzou, Elisavet Anastasiadou, Antonis Giatzoglou, and Alia Kourkoumeli, finished both rounds with zero penalty points. Romania took second place with two penalty points, and Turkey placed third with 12 points.

In the Junior Team Competition, Romania took first place, followed by Turkey in second and Bulgaria in third. The Greek junior team, including Vasiliki Baliousti, Semeli Laiou, Konstantinos Karydis, and Kostantza Andronikou Kalyva, finished in fourth place. The championship, which features approximately 150 riders and horses from nine countries, concludes with individual finals.
