Greece yachting market shows strong momentum in 2026

The 2026 summer season for the Greek professional yacht charter market concluded with positive results, reinforcing the sector's role as a high-value component of Greek tourism. Greece currently holds more than a 20% share of the international yachting market.

Data from the Hellenic Association of Marine Tourism indicates that while the total number of charters remained stable compared to 2025, the overall market value increased. This growth was driven by a significant rise in demand within the premium segment. In contrast, the mid-market segment experienced a marginal decline, while the lower-end segment saw a slight increase.

Greece remains a leading destination in the Mediterranean, competing with nations such as France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, and Turkey. The Greek market shows particular strength in motor yachts, sailing yachts, and catamarans, especially within the high-end category.
