Greece's Land Registry completes migration to Government Cloud, enhancing digital services

The Greek Land Registry has finished moving all its applications, information systems and data to the Government Cloud (G‑Cloud). The transition creates a single, modern technological foundation for the public infrastructure that handles thousands of real‑estate transactions daily. While the change is not immediately visible to the public, officials say it will improve system stability, speed up service delivery and strengthen data protection. Minister of Digital Governance and AI, Dimitris Papastergiou, stated that “the Land Registry is changing level” and that the migration “armors a critical national infrastructure, enabling more reliable services, greater data security and better support for citizens and professionals.” The upgrade is expected to reduce delays, ensure continuity during high‑demand periods and provide faster response times for notaries, engineers, lawyers and other users who rely on land‑registry data.
