Greek 1566 Citizen Service Adds Two AI Assistants for Public and Staff Use

Choose has designed and launched two artificial‑intelligence assistants for Greece's multi‑channel citizen service platform 1566. The first assistant is aimed at the public, offering instant guidance on a wide range of health‑related services such as scheduling appointments at hospitals and primary‑care centres, locating emergency hospitals and pharmacies, checking preventive examinations, vaccines, high‑cost drugs, travel‑medicine advice and filing complaints. It is accessible through the 1566 website and its mobile app.

The second assistant is embedded in the platform’s ticket‑handling system to support service representatives. It provides rapid access to relevant procedures, information and cross‑agency data, helping staff resolve complex inquiries more quickly and consistently. Both tools are already live.

Alongside the AI rollout, Choose conducted a roadshow in six Greek cities to demonstrate the 1566 services and gather user feedback. An additional upgrade, effective 1 July 2026, will let citizens book free afternoon clinic appointments via the 1566 phone line, the MyHealth app and the finddoctors portal, with all bookings recorded in a unified digital platform.
