Greek actor Kostas Berikopoulos discusses coping with his mother's death

Kostas Berikopoulos appeared on the TV show "Super Κατερίνα" and an Alpha morning programme where he reflected on his personal loss and professional life. He spoke about the close working relationship and friendship he developed with celebrated singer Haris Alexiou during the filming of the series "Maestro", noting her generosity and sense of humour.

Berikopoulos explained that his mother’s recent passing has left him in deep grief that cannot simply be managed. He said, “The grief has to run its course; you cannot force it to ease,” adding that he has sought psychotherapy to help process the emotional and psychosomatic effects of his loss. He also reiterated that when choosing roles he prioritises the character itself above production details.
