Greek amateur football season begins with EPSA and Cup matches

The amateur football season in Greece is commencing, featuring the start of the Athens Football Clubs Association (EPSA) league and the opening phase of the Greek Amateur Cup.

Due to the voluntary relegation of Aris Petroupolis, the EPSA league has been restructured into two groups: one containing 17 teams and the other 16. This imbalance means the first group will play four additional matches. To ensure fair competition for promotion playoffs to the Gamma Ethniki, points earned against the team finishing in 17th place will be deducted from the first group's total.

The promotion process involves group winners competing in playoffs against champions from other regional associations. Regarding relegation, three teams from each group are scheduled to be relegated, totaling six teams, though this number may change based on results in the Gamma Ethniki.
