Greek and Cypriot churches hold feast day services for Metropolitan Ieronimos and Saint Tryphon

On Monday, 15 June 2026, the Holy Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aigialeia, Ieronimos, will preside over the traditional liturgical celebrations at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Aigio. The schedule includes a festive polyphonic Vespers on Sunday, 14 June, followed by a morning Divine Liturgy and orthros on Monday, with the Metropolitan receiving blessings from local officials, clergy, and the faithful.

On Saturday, 13 June, the Cypriot Orthodox community commemorates Saint Tryphon, along with several other saints, observing the day with a special liturgy and offering prayers for health, happiness and spiritual guidance. The celebration highlights the saint’s historical role in spreading Christianity on the island and includes traditional blessings and well‑wishes.

Both events underline the continued importance of religious observances in Greece and Cyprus, drawing participation from clergy, local authorities and worshippers.
