Greek and French universities expand academic cooperation

Representatives from 16 Greek and 40 French public universities met in Paris to strengthen cooperation in higher education and scientific research. The meeting was led by the Greek Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, Nikos Papaioannou.

The discussions were part of an Action Plan between Greece and France for the 2026-2030 period. Key objectives include increasing the mobility of students, academics, and administrative staff, as well as developing joint postgraduate programs and doctoral supervision frameworks. The institutions also explored new opportunities for research collaborations and the utilization of European University Alliances to deepen the connection between the two nations' academic sectors.
