Greek aquaculture producers seek new trade links with China

The Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization (ELOPY) hosted an event in Greece aimed at expanding the international presence of Greek aquaculture within the Chinese hospitality and catering sectors. The initiative followed a visit to Greece by 25 representatives from the China Hospitality Association (CHA), who expressed significant interest in Greek seafood and fish production.

Held at Le Monde College, the event facilitated networking and business exploration between ELOPY member companies and Chinese hospitality professionals. The gathering included representatives from the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food, highlighting institutional support for the sector's export growth. During culinary demonstrations, participants explored the qualities of Greek sea bass and gilthead seabream produced under the ‘Fish from Greece’ brand.
