Greek art and comics festivals scheduled for October 2026

Two distinct cultural events focused on independent art and publishing are scheduled to take place in Greece on October 17-18, 2026.

In Trikala, the “Kampsioi Dimiourgoi 9 3/3” festival will return to the Trikala Spiritual Center. Organized by Project Hippocampus as part of the 1st International Comedy Film Festival of Trikala, the event features comics, illustration, and contemporary creation. The program includes an Artist Alley for meeting creators, animation screenings, a Game Spot, and workshops such as character creation with Alexandros Katsikas and doodling with Sven. A discussion titled “Comics in the Kampo” will also explore the Thessalian comics scene.

Simultaneously, the Athens Art Book Fair 2026 Local Edition will be held at the Kypseli Municipal Market. This seventh edition focuses on promoting domestic production of artistic prints. The fair will feature 46 participants, including artists, small and large publishing ventures, and cultural organizations from various Greek regions such as Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Mytilene, and Syros.
