Albanian national arrested in Athens for 2020 Loutraki double murder

An Albanian national, identified in some reports as Nikolin Pali, has been arrested in the Kato Patisia area of Athens following a coordinated police operation involving the EKAM special forces. The 43 or 44-year-old suspect was wanted for a double murder committed in October 2020 in Loutraki, Corinthia, where he allegedly killed his former partner, a 43-year-old Ukrainian woman, and her partner, a 42-year-old Greek pharmacist, using an axe.

During the raid on his apartment, police seized a silver pistol, two functional hand grenades, two detonators, and three pairs of metal handcuffs. The suspect had been living with false identification documents and was reportedly preparing for a new armed attack. He also faces charges for robbery, arson, and violence against judicial officers.

Following his arrest, the suspect reportedly confessed to two additional murders committed in Albania prior to 2002. Greek authorities are currently coordinating with INTERPOL and Albanian officials to verify these claims and investigate his potential involvement in contract killings. A 41-year-old woman was also arrested for allegedly harboring the criminal.
