Greek authorities extend traffic restrictions on Louda bridge until July 28, 2026

The Police Directorate of Pella has prolonged the temporary traffic measures on the Louda bridge of the Giannitson‑Stavrou provincial road. The new deadline is Tuesday 28 July 2026 at 09:00. During this period the western half of the bridge will be closed to all vehicles, and traffic will operate in both directions on a single lane controlled by traffic lights. Vehicles weighing more than 10 tonnes are also prohibited. Alternative routes are recommended via the Stavrou‑Krya Vrisi‑Giannitson provincial road to the old national Thessaloniki‑Edessa road, via Veria, or via Alexandria‑Mikro Monastirio to the Paralimni‑Chalkidona bypass, as well as the Egnatia Odos. These measures replace the earlier schedule that was set to end on 24 July.
