Greek banks donate 25 million euros to restore NTUA Ginnie Building
Four major Greek banks—Alpha Bank, Eurobank, National Bank of Greece, and Piraeus Bank—have pledged a combined 25 million euros over the next three years to restore the historic Ginnie Building at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
The Ginnie Building, an architectural landmark designed by Professor Kostas Kitsikis, has remained closed for several years. Once the restoration is complete, the complex is intended to serve as a research hub, a science and arts conference center, and an open technology museum.
This donation is part of a broader 560 million euro sponsorship initiative by the four banks aimed at supporting all levels of public education in Greece. The project is being carried out with technical assistance from the Hellenic Banking Federation.
