Greek car market sees drop in new registrations and shifting buyer priorities
Data from the first half of July shows that 8,236 new vehicles were registered in Greece, a 4.4% decline (381 fewer cars) compared with the same period last year. The top brands by registrations were Toyota (2,052), Suzuki (813), BMW (423) and others.
A Deloitte Global Automotive Consumer Study of more than 28,500 respondents in 27 key markets identified five key trends. Demand for battery‑electric vehicles varies widely across regions, while interest in hybrids continues to grow. Brand reliability is strongest in Japan, and consumers value safety‑related connected features but remain wary of data sharing. Service quality, brand trust and the ability to upgrade vehicles are also high priorities for prospective buyers.
