Greek cities host White Night shopping events to boost local retail

Multiple Greek cities, including Tripoli, Volos, and Karditsa, held ‘White Nightshopping events to stimulate local economies through extended store hours and significant discounts.

In Tripoli, the event featured musical performances, street art, and acrobatic displays, organized by the Tripoli Industrial Association in collaboration with local chambers and municipalities. In Volos, the event drew thousands of residents and visitors, resulting in high sales volumes and increased foot traffic for both retail and hospitality sectors.

In Karditsa, the celebration coincided with the August full moon. Local officials, including Dimitris Tseouras, President of the Commercial Association of Karditsa, reported high levels of satisfaction, noting that consumer movement was significantly better than during Black Friday. The event aimed to provide liquidity to small and medium-sized businesses while fostering community engagement through cultural activities.
