Greek clubs AO Thiras and PAOK set European volleyball draws for 2026‑27

AO Thiras, the women’s volleyball team from Santorini, will learn its first opponent in the CEV Challenge Cup for the 2026‑27 season during the official draw on 15 July at the Broadcasting Center Europe in Luxembourg. The tournament features 55 clubs from 30 national federations and will run from late October 2026 to March 2027, with AO Thiras joining fellow Greek representatives Panathinaikos, AEK and ZAON.

PAOK’s men’s team has been paired with Romania’s Arkanta Galati in the CEV Cup for the same season. The first leg is scheduled for 8‑10 December 2026 in Romania, with the return match on 5‑7 January 2027 at the PAOK Sports Arena in Thessaloniki. The club also announced the signing of Russian setter Evgeni Rukavitsynov to bolster its roster for the European campaign.
