Kóstas Konstantinídis acquitted in domestic violence case
A Greek court has acquitted Kóstas Konstantinídis of charges regarding a domestic violence incident involving his wife, journalist and presenter Anthí Voulgári. The case stemmed from an incident on August 24, which Voulgári described as a verbal altercation that escalated when she felt her hair being pulled, though she noted no physical injury occurred.
The court adopted the prosecutor's recommendation for acquittal regarding the charge of simple domestic bodily harm in the presence of a minor. Consequently, the restrictive order requiring Konstantinídis to reside in a separate home from Voulgári and their child has been lifted.
During the proceedings, Voulgári emphasized that the well-being of their child remains the priority and stated that the couple intends to seek professional counseling to manage their relationship and communication. Konstantinídis expressed remorse during his testimony, stating, “I have repented, we will look to ensure this does not happen again, we will work on it with a specialist.”
Separately, Voulgári recently returned to her television duties on Mega Channel, focusing on her professional work without addressing the personal legal matter during her broadcast premiere.
