Greek court adjourns domestic violence trial involving prominent presenter

A court in Greece has adjourned the trial regarding allegations of domestic violence involving a well-known journalist and presenter and her husband until September 1. The court ruled that the complainant must appear in person to provide testimony, noting that a formal written statement is insufficient given the nature of the allegations.

The defense for the presenter argued that the incident did not meet the legal threshold for domestic violence as no physical injuries were sustained. Conversely, the defense for the accused characterized the event as a mutual verbal altercation.

Until the next hearing, the court has maintained a restrictive order prohibiting the husband from approaching the presenter's residence.
