Greek cultural events: ERT1 music show and Metaxourgeio theater production

The music program ‘Parea’ with Giorgos Kouvaras is returning to ERT1 for its third season. The premiere, scheduled for Saturday, October 24, features a tribute to the late composer Mimis Plessas, who passed away two years ago. The episode includes guests such as Loukilla Karer, Giorgos Hadjinikos, and Giannis Metzikos, who will share stories regarding Plessas’s extensive musical legacy, which includes work for over 100 films and numerous television productions.

In theatrical news, the musical performance ‘Sol Diet’ is returning to the Metaxourgeio Theater starting November 13. Following a successful previous season, the production by ‘The Quartet’ combines satire, live music, and humor to explore themes of gastronomy, diet, and emotional insecurities. The show features music by Nikos Platyrachos and lyrics by Tina Giotopoulou, blending genres such as tango, swing, and rebetiko.
