Greek cultural festivals scheduled in Parramatta and Saanich

Various Greek cultural festivals are scheduled to take place in Australia and Canada.

In Parramatta, the Let’s Go Greek festival is set for Sunday, September 13. The event features authentic Greek cuisine, including souvlakia and loukoumades, alongside market stalls and family activities such as carnival rides. This year’s entertainment includes a live performance by Giorgos Tsalikis and his band.

In Saanich, the 25th annual Greek Fest will be held over two weekends, running from August 28 to 30 and September 4 to 7 at the Greek Hellenic Centre. The festival offers free admission and features traditional dishes like lamb on the spit and spanakopita. Performers from the local area and abroad, including Athens, will provide music and dances representing Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Balkan traditions.
