Greek Cup referee assignments announced for League Phase opening

The Central Refereeing Committee (KED) of the Hellenic Football Federation has announced the referee assignments for the first matchday of the Greek Cup League Phase, scheduled for September 1–3, 2026. All appointed referees for the opening round are Greek officials.

Alexandros Katsikogiannis has been appointed to lead the match between AEL and Olympiacos at the AEL FC Arena on September 2. Katsikogiannis will be assisted by Argyris Davelas and Nikos Mavrokordopoulos, with Giorgos Tasiopoulos serving as the fourth official. The VAR team for this match will consist of Giannis Papadopoulos and Yiumatzidis.

Other notable assignments include Polychronis for the PAOK vs OFI match at Toumba. The tournament will utilize VAR for several key fixtures, including Volos Elabet vs Kalamata, AEL vs Olympiacos, PAOK vs OFI, and Panathinaikos vs Niki Volou.
