Greek defense industry unveils low‑cost drone‑killer systems

Greek defense firm ALTUS LSA announced the development of two advanced anti‑drone systems, KMB Hunter and M3NTOR. The platforms use artificial‑intelligence algorithms, automatic detection and targeting mechanisms, and cost‑effective interceptors to neutralise a wide range of hostile UAVs.

The technology is intended to protect critical infrastructure, military installations and broader geographic zones from cheap drones that have been widely employed in the Ukraine conflict and by Turkey’s Bayraktar UAVs in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean. By offering a low‑cost, high‑precision response, the systems aim to shift the balance of aerial defence for the Greek Armed Forces.
