Greek Deputy Interior Minister Konstantinos Gkoylekas Highlights Local Business Support in Imathia

On 10 July, the Chamber of Imathia hosted an informative forum titled “Strengthening Local Entrepreneurship” in the Apostolos Vessyropoulos hall. The event, organized by Deputy Interior Minister for Macedonia and Thrace Konstantinos Gkoylekas in collaboration with the chamber, drew a large crowd of entrepreneurs, professionals and representatives of public bodies.

Gkoylekas outlined the ministry’s initiatives to boost regional businesses, stressing the availability of financing through ESFA programmes, private‑investment tools, export support and industrial‑property protection. He emphasized the state’s aim to stay close to micro‑ and small‑medium enterprises, providing timely information and practical solutions.

A panel of experts answered questions, including Mihalis Drits of the General Secretariat of ESFA, Anastasios Zafeiridis of the Directorate for Private Investments, Christos Giannakakis of the Exporters’ Association, Apostolos Aigyptiadis of the Northern Greece Business Administration Company, Georgios Asimopoulos of the Industrial Property Organization, and Stella Psaropoulou of the Alexandria Innovation Zone.

The strong attendance reflected local business interest in leveraging the presented development tools to increase competitiveness, innovation and export capacity.
