Greek Deputy Minister Dimitris Markopoulos meets OLP A.E. leadership at Piraeus port

Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Dimitris Markopoulos visited the facilities of OLP A.E., the operator of the Piraeus port. He was received by OLP A.E. Chairman Han Chao, CEO Su Xudong and Deputy CEO Angelos Karakostas, and was joined by representatives of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Greece.

During the tour of the port’s main building, Markopoulos was briefed on current operations, the hub’s role in international trade and supply‑chain logistics, and the company’s plans for new investments. The discussion highlighted upgrades to infrastructure, the use of modern technologies, environmental sustainability and stronger integration with the local business community. Markopoulos stressed that the Piraeus port is a strategic national asset and a key driver of Greece’s economic development.
