Greek Deputy Minister Hatzivassiliou visits Strasbourg

Greek Deputy Minister for European Affairs Tasos Hatzivassiliou conducted a two-day working visit to Strasbourg on September 14-15, 2026, to monitor the proceedings of the European Parliament plenary.

The visit serves as part of Greece’s preparations for its upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union, scheduled for the second half of 2027. During his stay, Hatzivassiliou met with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and Secretary-General Alessandro Dejanović.

Additional meetings included discussions with Maria-Augusta Selbst (Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs), Commissioner for Budget Pietro Serafini, and representatives from various political groups, including the European People's Party, the Greens/EFA, and Renew Europe.
