Greece's Development Law Secures 270 New Investment Plans

The second round of Greece's Development Law received 270 new investment proposals across three core regimes. 170 projects target the "Manufacturing – Supply Chain" sector, 86 focus on "Specially Assisted Areas", and 14 fall under the "Large Investments" category, each eligible for a €150 million incentive.

The programme, described by Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos as a reliable tool for the country's productive transformation, aims to channel resources into manufacturing, large‑scale projects, and lagging regions to boost industrial capacity and reduce regional disparities. The government highlights that the prior cycle attracted 125 projects worth over €870 million and created 2,200 jobs. Overall public support for the current round exceeds €1.5 billion within a €3.1 billion budget, with expectations of adding more than 15,000 jobs nationwide. A new "Agriculture Nutrition" regime, also offering €150 million, has been launched, and all applications undergo a strict 90‑day evaluation period.
