Greek drama “The Daughters of Virtue” secures €2.1 million subsidy for Alpha series
The Greek television drama “The Daughters of Virtue” will debut on Alpha in the autumn. The series follows a mother, Virtue, and the lives of her daughters, exploring love, power and ambition.
Pedio Productions, the company behind the show, applied for state funding from the Greek Film Centre (EKCO). After an initial rejection, the firm lodged an appeal and EKCO approved a €2,112,000 subsidy. The series’ total production cost is €6,600,000, with eligible expenses of €5,280,000.
The programme stars Rania Schiza as Aphrodite and Dora Chrysikou as Froso, key characters whose actions drive the family’s conflicts.
