Greek educators protest exclusion from student and housing benefits

The Greek teachers' federation, OLME, has issued a complaint regarding the exclusion of thousands of educators' families from various student and housing benefits. The federation argues that current income thresholds remain stagnant despite significant increases in the cost of living and rent.

According to OLME, many families are disqualified from student allowances, housing assistance, and university dormitory access because their combined salaries exceed existing limits. The federation is calling for an adjustment of these income thresholds, increased support for student housing, and the reinstatement of 13th and 14th month salaries to alleviate financial pressure.
