Greek EFKA disburses €10.9 million retroactive pensions to 6,264 retirees

On 31 July 2026 the Greek Social Insurance Institute (EFKA) paid retroactive pension amounts totaling about €10.9 million to 6,264 beneficiaries. The payment includes 1,236 disability pensioners and covers recalculations of pensions that began on 1 January 2019 for retirees from former funds such as TAP‑OTE, IKA and other entities that were merged into IKA.

EFKA said the retroactive sums were credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts and that the agency will continue to audit pending recalculations, with further payments expected for tens of thousands of other retirees whose pension adjustments are still outstanding.
